Quote of the Day
WHATEVER IT TAKES

"The Wall Street Journal once scolded that lawmakers need 'to distinguish between immigrants who bus tables and those who hijack airplanes,' without giving any practical advice on how to make such a distinction. Here's the distinction I make: if the busboy is illegal, he should be deported. The hijacker should be executed."

- Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-Arizona) in "Whatever It Takes"

    A Little Ketchup for the Kerry No-Shows

    I have no problem understanding the many wise people on this planet who eschewed the chance to listen to John F. Kerry pontificate at a scheduled outdoor venue. Who on earth wants to hear this pompous blow-hard go on and on about how to fix things and how he intends to do it?

    Someone needs to tell this JFK wannabe that he freaking LOST the last election. I happened to see him on some political talk show, not that he's a guest anyone wants to hear either but he's been begging them for months to let him on, and he went on and on about how America is still not safe after the 9-11 attacks.

    As if this nimwit whose main accomplishment in life is marrying into wealth, would have made us safer.

    So few turn out to hear him speak and those that attended came for the food. The "W" ketchup company decides, in a PR stroke of genius, to send Kerry some fine ketchup with hopes that this might attract a bigger audience for this fellow.

    Heh. "W" ketchup. Gotta smile.

    From, heh, Wketchup.com:
    John Kerry's sad speech and W Ketchup

    Eagle Bridge, NY - August 3, 2006 - W Ketchup announced today it has sent 4 bottles of delicious W Ketchup to the office of failed presidential candidate John Kerry. W Ketchup took this move in response to media reports that attendance at Kerry's last political rally in Iowa was sparse.

    W Ketchup's CEO Dan Oliver stated: "We may not agree with Mr. Kerry's political views, but it's sad when someone has a picnic and no one comes. We think if he had some delicious W Ketchup instead of some other brand, more people might enjoy his parties.

    So Why DO They Hate Us?

    Came across this web site and gotta wonder what the hell ...?

    The site is a collection of photographs that are supposed to illustrate why the rest of the world hates America. One clicks on the pictures and one by one a picture that is supposed to encapsulate an American scene that the fine and sensitive Muslims et al on the planet would explain just why the U.S. really is the Great Satan.

    The pictures run the gamut from a picnic spread to a pic of Jerry Falwell to a pic of young rockers with nose rings.

    Heh. The United States is hardly perfect and such as nose-ringed youth and lavish food spreads are part of the culture. America is a big country and we have all types over here. I suppose the web site owner thinks the wearing of burqas and rioting over cartoons are the actions of a much better society.

    So I took a look at the designer of this site and poor soul. Below a snippet of his Bio and with such kooky beginnings, no wonder he's a nut.

    Why They Hate Us
    Steve Lambert was born in Los Angeles in 1976 and moved to the Bay Area four days later. He was born to a former Franciscan Monk and a Dominican Nun who practiced a variation of Liberation Theology, then abandoned organized religion and left the church a year before his birth.

    Speaking of Nuts

    Only this one is really dangerous.

    Adam Gadahn is the American who recently co-starred in yet another stupid Al-Queda video along with the Al Queda second in command, Ayman Zawahiri.

    Lovely Adam exhorted all Americans to convert to Islam. Snort.

    Now Gadahn is under indictment for helping terrorists and hey folks, you're not supposed to do that.

    Click on the link below for a pic of this fellow and the comments on the post are precious.

    Adam Gadahn is a loser who can't get the other kids to play ball with him so he goes over to the dark side.

    This fellow is going to jail soon, perhaps in one of those so-called "black sites" somewhere on the planet. Let him play pinochle with the other loser terrorists and rot in place.

    From ABCNEWS.blog:
    Gadahn recently appeared with al Qaeda's No. 2 in command Ayman Zawahiri exhorting Americans to convert to Islam. Gadahn, in addition to helping al Qaeda with propaganda and communications, is also suspected of helping al Qaeda with English translations and understanding U.S. culture and vulnerabilities.

    Dick Gregory Takes on Tony Snow

    Reporter Dick Gregory, beloved by the spitting Chris Matthews and snoop into the infamous accidental shooting by Dick Cheney, should have his picture under the word "punk" in the dictionary. For he looks just like a bully schoolyard punk to me and his exchange with the new press secretary, Tony Snow, illustrates just how punkish this reporter can be.

    Snow was conducting a White House press briefing, which is his job. Gregory asked a lengthy question and demanded to know why the President doesn't admit that mistakes were made in our battle in Iraq. Tony accused Gregory of spouting the Democratic party talking points, which Gregory does all the time.

    First, what the hell kind of question is that for a reporter to pose during a WH press conference? Every damn war involves mistakes and adjustments and has since the beginning of time. The opposition party, in this case the Democrats, pounds on the administration over alleged "mistakes" and go with me here, while I don't especially like Democrats, this is the opposition party's job.

    It is NOT the job of a so-called vaunted journalist to join in with the opposition party to further their cause. Once upon a time a journalist was taught to be fair and impartial and get to the facts; ascertain for us idiots out here in la-la land just what our political elites are up to. A question asking why the administration won't admit mistakes is so stupid as to be laughable.

    Hey Dickie boy, how about doing some research, find an example of an alleged "mistake" in Iraq, then asking a question more specific to your research findings? For when you throw out a generic "why doesn't the administration admit its mistakes" you don't really expect any kind of answer from a busy White House press secretary. You're not doing the stuff of journalists. You're repeating the talking points of the opposition party and nothing less.

    Tony Snow pointed this out to you, God bless this man, and you got angry.

    Tony's got you pegged, Gregory.

    From Editor and Publisher:
    David GregoryNEW YORK A not especially eventful press briefing at the White House today turned rancorous with NBC's David Gregory telling Press Secretary Tony Snow, "Don't point your finger at me," and Snow accusing the newsman of being "rude" and delivering Democratic talking points.

    Hillary Senate "Majority" Leader?

    One of my favorite blog sites is The American Spectator, more specifically its "Washington Prowler" series. Recently the Prowler reported that aids to future President Hillary are floating the possibility that Hillary might not run for President but would accept, instead, Harry Reid's position as Democratic Senator leader.

    This is not the same as Senate Majority Leader and one must speculate if Hillary specifically wants a majority leadership, in which case the Democrats must take over the senate, or if she'll accept Reid's position as minority leader should the Dems not achieve this.

    There's also talk that if Lieberman wins in Connecticut that Hillary would forget a presidential run as the far left kooks would focus their vitriol on her should Lieberman win.

    Whatever the reason, methinks Hillary knows she's got exactly zero chance to be this country's next president. Her term as co-president along with her worthless husband, led to our attacks on 9-11 and who can forget her love of Arafat and his stupid wife?

    From the American Spectator:
    The possibility of failure on the Senate side is one reason for the renewed rumors of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton looking to fill a leadership slot for Democrats in the Senate. Over the weekend, London papers reported that Clinton was looking to fill the minority leader shoes currently filled by Sen. Harry Reid.

    AOL Sums Up the Katie Couric Debut

    I don't think I've been more amused by any corporate attempt to pee upon our feet while telling us it's raining than the recent hoopla over perky Katie Couric's debut as the CBS news anchor.

    While the rest of the world complained about the hype, my own wise self sat back and enjoyed this colossal attempt to take a total flake-job who was fine on the Today show but hardly the icon of news-reporting gravitas, and turn her into another Walter Cronkite or that ilk.

    I almost spat out my coffee on the keyboard when I tuned into AOL to discover the headline screaming at me that "Katie Couric Makes History". This on the day of Katie's CBS debut.

    She makes history? This fluffhead makes freaking HISTORY? Hey, the D-Day assault, that's history. The dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima, that's history. Every day our soldiers, children of ordinary Americans who carry this country on their backs, fight blistering heat and dangerous conditions to deliver Iraq to a steady freedom and yet Katie airhead is making history?

    On her debut, the flake actually declares, "of course", that the war on terror began on 9-11. Forget the 93 attack on the world trade center, the many embassy attacks, the slaughter at our marine barracks in Beirut, the attack on the USS Cole. The lovely and perky Katie asserts, so it must be true, that the war on terror began on 9-11.

    This woman is going down. She is nothing but an icon of a desperate formerly powerful news organization that is being created in front of our stupid eyes into, well I don't know what. Throw enough money at someone or some thing and, so goes the logic, the public will buy into it.

    Katie Couric as somber news anchor will be the proof positive that this won't work in this era of alternative news sources.

    From Newsbusters:
    But Katie did - unintentionally no doubt - permit a telling moment of candor to slip through the MSM filter. Introducing a segment on Pres. Bush' speech today on matters of national security, Couric said:

    "The war on terror began of course with the September 11th attacks on the United States."

    What's With Florida's Katherine Harris?

    Katherine Harris became a national figure, when, during the 2000 Florida presidential election drama, she certified the counted votes as described in her duty as then Florida's Secretary of State.

    The woman became a heroine to conservatives across the fruited plains and she suffered the endless liberal ad homonym attacks from her appearance to her age.

    So she decides to run for Senator against Democrat incumbent Nelson. So far, so good. This is the kind of things people do as a preamble to actually running for office.

    Except Harris has been constantly under attack by BOTH the Repubs and Dems in Florida although she DID win the Republican primary nomination.

    I saw Harris as a guest on Hardball recently and on this occasion and every other time I happened to see the lady on interview, she seemed quite personable and I thought she was a fine candidate. On the Hardball segment, Harris brushed off assertions that her campaign was in chaos. The interviewer, Nora O'Donnell I believe, then stated that the woman's last FOUR campaign managers have resigned. Go with me here, this is not a good sign.

    Now I read, From Trafficmp, that Harris stated the following while on the campaign trail:
    Katherine HarrisThat's why recent remarks by Rep. Katherine Harris, a Republican candidate for Florida's U.S. Senate seat, were so remarkably offensive. Playing into every stereotype that the left has purveyed about religious conservatives, Harris insisted that America was not intended to be a "nation of secular laws," called separation of church and state a "lie we have been told" and asserted that, "If you're not electing Christians, then in essence you are going to legislate sin."

    Now if Harris really said the above, and I've no reason to believe it's not true, well how damn dumb can you get? America is a secular nation and it says so in our constitution. Sure a nation wants to encourage adhering to some sort of religion as faithful citizens are usually the best kind. The concept of separation of church and state is NOT a lie as Harris asserts although I do understand that the founders specifically prohibited the creation of a church by the government rather than the ridiculous interpretation of this clause by the liberals amongst us.

    And if she really said that about not electing Christians and the legislation of sin, again, how damn dumb is this? Christians don't have the lock on sinless behavior and let me state right now that I am a Christian. I'd certainly have no problem voting for a Jew, a Hindu or any non-Christian candidate. I would have problems voting for a Muslim but that's not because of their religion. So far as my common sense eyes can see, those people got a long way to go before they can be effective leaders. Let's say they stop rioting over cartoons, just for starters, then maybe they'd have more credibility.

    Point being that Harris IS the problem with her campaign and this anecdote illustrates that very well.
    Tom Delay Got Indicted for What the Clintons Just Did

    Frankly I don't much care about how Hillary raises her funds because she's not going to win. But please note that during her beloved and faithful husband's most recent birthday party ole Hillary managed to insinuate herself into the festivities for fundraising purposes.

    There's always been rumors about these alleged Clinton charities and just how the funds collected are dispersed. Scuttlebutt has it that for the tsunami relief fund Bill Clinton was specifically joined at the hip with the first George Bush to insure that funds collected didn't make it into Hillary's PAC.

    So far, for all the money Bill's collected to help rid Africa of the AIDS scrouge, it's still a big problem. A problem that should be pretty easy to eliminate and yet ...

    From the Spectator.org
    The William J. Clinton Foundation may have been the big beneficiary of ex-President Bill Clinton's "birthday" bash in Toronto on Saturday night. An estimated $2.5 million to $3 million was raised for the foundation's work to ease AIDS and poverty in Africa.

    According to Clinton insiders, a number of foreign-owned corporations with interests in the United States were encouraged by the Toronto event organizers to pony up as much as $200,000 for a ten-seat table at the birthday bash, because doing so would ensure that both the former President and current Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton would be appreciative of their support.

    Senator Clinton has no connection to her husband's philanthropic operation.

    ABC's "The Path to 911"

    I loved it. Loved every minute of it and continue to love it.

    I speak of ABC's ground-breaking movie, "The Path to 911", shown on Sunday 9/10/06 and Monday 9/11/06.

    It's understandable now why the Clinton administration and all of its minions so vehemently protested this movie. If I screwed up as terribly as they did I wouldn't want my mistakes broadcast so widely either.

    The minions of the Clinton era are so enraged that in this country of free speech that anyone would dare to broadcast the truth. They are so enraged that the so-called "Senate Democratic leadership" actually wrote a letter to Disney (ABC's parent company) demanding the movie not be shown with a vague allusion to a loss of broadcast license.

    Why don't we bring back the Soviet Pravda PR machine while we're at it if we're going to allow our government to control what's broadcast across our public air waves? And what sort of grand position in our government is this "Senate Democratic leadership"? If this a new arm of our government I wasn't told about it.

    The way the movie was filmed was certainly different. My first thought is that the somewhat herky-jerky method of filming was done to keep viewers from thinking this is some sort of Lifetime drama, totally fiction and pure entertainment. A viewer first tuning into the movie would know immediately that what was being shown was different, not the normal stuff of dramatic movies. The film went from locale to locale, from time span to time span. Real events of the 90's were being displayed albeit in a fictionalized and time-compressed fashion, as the beginning disclaimer advised.

    Another source of my intrigue was the depiction of events in the early 90's. For during that era my own wise self was totally unaware that there had even been an attack on the World Trade Center. This ABC movie showed the plotting and planning of that attack and this country's total lack of response to it. Sure there was no mighty Internet in the 90's and massive publicity was generated by the major networks, all of whom had some agendas of their own.

    Bill Clinton never mentioned the first attack on the WTC, never thanked the first responders, never used the presidential podium to vow revenge for six citizens murdered on our own soil. And we all know ole Bill loved to give "feel-good speeches" so why didn't he use the event of that first attack to cry in our faces and vow revenge by putting a missile up a camel's butt?

    Methinks our President at the time was trying to keep the truth from us. Clinton didn't want to be bothered with those pesky terrorists. Terrorists who kept attacking us and that clip showing Clinton lying to our collective faces that he "did not have sexual relations with that woman....Miss Lewinsky" was priceless in context with this movie. For as this famous televised political moment was being broadcast, the few concerned about terrorism in his administration were watching and swearing.

    "He says this scandal isn't going to affect his ability to lead," one FBI type says as the Lewinsky/Lying Clinton sight bite was on a TV in their surround. The other FBI type shakes his head and says, simply, "Pathetic".

    And it was pathetic, folks. This ABC movie shows just how freaking pathetic the Clinton administration was in dealing with terror in the 90's.

    Priceless.

    Below, all the players responsible for the many deaths from terrorism during the 90's and those that died from the attacks on 9/11/2001. They will all go straight to hell.

    The Clinton Adminstration:

    Bill Clinton, President;
    Hillary Clinton, Co-President & First Enabler;
    Al Gore, Vice President;
    Madeleine Albright, Secretary of State;
    Janet Reno, Attorney General;
    Richard Clarke, Director of Counter-Terrorism for the National Security Council;
    Sandy Berger, National Security Advisor;
    Jamie Gorelick, Deputy Attorney General;
